Visitors
and locals alike find much to do in this region. In the winter,
both downhill and cross-country skiing are very popular, as
well as snowboarding and hiking. Fishing,
hunting, golfing, rockclimbing and whitewater rafting can
also be found in multiple spots in Central Oregon.
Events
abound in Deschutes County, which is host to the Cascade Festival
of Music, Cascade Children’s Festival, Sisters Rodeo, Sunriver
Sunfest, and the Cascade Cycling Classic.
Central
Oregon attractions include the Newberry National Volcanic
Monument and Smith Rock State Park as well as countless shops,
