Southern
Oregon, with it's scenic waterfalls, high
desert areas, raging rivers and cultural and historical attractions,
there is something for everybody in this region.
Outdoor
recreation in Southern Oregon includes white water rafting,
boating, fishing, skiing, and hiking. North America's deepest
lake, Crater Lake, hosts many of these activities. Because
of the mild climate in this region, year round golf is also
available.

If
you're looking for culture, it can be found at Ashland's world-famous
Shakespeare Festival, the Britt Festival in historic Jacksonville
and multiple museums, art galleries, theaters and antique
shops.
History
buffs also know this region as the site of Oregon's 19th-Century
gold rush. This era is beautifully preserved in the city of
Jacksonville, a National Historic Landmark town.
